Srihitha Papisetti
Hi! I’m Srihitha, the CEO of team Little Haven. I'm a sophomore at LASA High School in Austin, Texas. Outside of school, I love dancing, conducting STEM research, being part of Science Olympiad, HOSA, and Science Bowl. In the past, I’ve enjoyed helping others by volunteering at a food bank and the animal shelter. I was inspired to make Little Haven because of the struggles I saw my parents have with my little brother growing up as he had to go on an incubator and be very careful wherever he had to go. The inspiration behind Little Haven came from watching my parents navigate the challenges of caring for my little brother, who required a nebulizer and constant caution in his early years. My goal with Little Haven is to offer comfort and peace of mind to parents facing similar struggles, giving them the freedom to focus on their passions while knowing their little ones are safe and cared for.
Zaara Zaidi
Hi! I’m Zaara, a sophomore at LASA High School in Austin, Texas. I’m passionate about painting, hiking, baking, and conducting research in medicine. I also love caring for animals, including my cat and birds. At LASA, I actively participate in CyberPatriots, HOSA, and the National Science Bowl, where I continue to challenge myself and grow my problem-solving skills.
I was inspired to help create Little Haven after volunteering at a neonatal care unit during a summer medical program. Seeing the struggles parents faced while caring for fragile infants sparked my interest in developing solutions to ease their anxieties. Many of the parents I met expressed concerns about transporting their babies safely, especially those requiring special medical attention. My goal with Little Haven is to provide parents with peace of mind, ensuring their infants are secure and cared for, whether at home or on the go.
Myra Khan
Hey! I'm Myra and I am a sophomore at LASA High School in Austin, Texas. Outside of school, some things that I love are dancing, conducting STEM research, hiking, playing basketball, baking, and taking part in clubs such as HOSA, Science Bowl, and Youth and Government. I also enjoy volunteering at the Austin Animal Center and helping animals who have been through different traumas get comfortable with humans again. I was inspired to help create Little Haven because of my little cousin. When he was little, he often got sick as he was developing his immune system. During those times, my aunt would always worry about him in the backseat since he was too little to speak and express any problems he may be experiencing. It caused my aunt a lot of anxiety while driving which creates a distraction and could be dangerous for both of them. Recently, she had another kid and experienced similar concerns. Due to this, I became deeply invested in the idea of LittleHaven as it would serve to eliminate parental anxiety and provide a sense of security and safety for infants in cars.
Anwitha Nanduru
Hello, I'm Anwitha! I am a sophomore at LASA high school. I enjoy playing the violin, dancing, and reading alongside volunteering at my local community center. I am passionate about creating simple, helpful solutions to real problems. I focus on designing products that keep people safe and make life easier. My goal is to make a positive difference in the world with ideas that truly matter. Through Little Haven I aim to help babies and parents travel stress free.
Zoya Sharma
Hello! I’m Zoya Sharma, a tenth grader at LASA High School in Austin, Texas. My interests lie in both STEM and humanities related subjects. Outside of school, I compete in Science Olympiad, Model UN, Biology Olympiad, USESO, and National Science Bowl. I also enjoy drawing and painting, as well as reading and learning new languages for fun. I am interested in research and design innovation and have completed research projects in architecture and mathematics.
The idea for a medical innovation that focuses on the safety and well-being of babies was inspired by my family’s experience with an unsafe car seat when my brother was very young. This personal incident combined with my interest in design innovation fosters my belief that a better and safer product needs to be created, and our team is motivated to deliver it.
